Bugle is a 1973 Mark II Vega and is owned by Diana Webb. Diana has been the custodian of Bugle for over 15 years and everyone who has been to an IFR in the last 12 years will know both of them very well. Bugle has a standard MD6A engine with COMBI gearbox which Diana has mastered with aplomb, try mooring on the fore and aft buoys at Hoo on The Medway when the tide is running and you will see what is possible with the supposedly "un-steerable" Vega. Bugle is kept at Hoo Sailing Club together with three other Vegas - Reflection V, Brue Vega, Fina IV. The IFR-98 was held at Hoo and organised almost single-handed by Diana, many Vega owners will recall the great time that was had by all. Diana and Bugle attended the IFR-2000 and came third overall in the Cruising Class, a fantastic performance for a cruising loaded yacht, she was awarded the Solent Cup for best placed UK Vega at the IFR. If any help is ever needed from a Vega owner then Diana is always the one to offer whatever aid she can. She is truly an "International Vega Friend", the true embodiment of the VODA motto: International Friendship.
